Talk Show Trainwrecks
Came across this great compilation today on The Daily Beast. I would have altered it a bit (it was sorely lacking Crispin Glover’s acid-fest), but overall it was pretty good. There were a few that were brand new to me, the highlight undoubtedly being Vidal vs. Mailer on The Dick Cavett Show.
If you only watch one of these, make sure that’s the one. And if you want to know more after watching, Dick wrote about the encounter shortly after Mailer’s death a few years ago over at the NYTimes.
