The New York Times: Obama's People
I’m not sure what to make of these glossys of our new government, taken by a man who’s known for his slick portraiture of celebrities. They are, without a doubt, beautiful pictures. Everyone looks like a celebrity! Well, maybe not Pete Rouse or David Axlerod. You’d need a special effects department to fix up those guys.
Still… this is one shiny team of leaders we have right now. Celebrity government. The power of Barack Obama. Hopefully this means that more people will pay attention. And hopefully, with more people paying attention, the less shit government will be able to get away with. This is a heady mix of celebrity and politics. But maybe it’s for the best.
