It’s not going to be as close as everyone thinks. In a few more weeks, the selection of Sarah Palin is going to seem like a desperation move. I mean really, how is she going to survive in the debates against Joe Biden, a known orator in the Sentate for over 30 years. Sarah Palin has been the governor of Alaska (47th in total US population) for less than 2 years.
In a few weeks, after everyone has taken a step back from the conventions, this fact is going to weigh down the GOP a lot heavier in the polls than many pundits think. With Palin on the ticket, the Republicans can no longer effectively attack Obama on the “experience” platform, and have instead resorted to taking shots at his character and ambition.
