I just learned about this cool program called Wordle that lets you create a “word cloud” from blocks of text. The words are arranged in size according to how frequently they appear. Above is a wordle of John McCain’s mediocre acceptance speech last night. The image is pretty interesting to look at, as even just a cursory glace give you an idea of what was focused on.
He used the word “fight” 25 times, and “fought” 9 times! For a campaing that wants to change Washington and distance itself from the Bush administration, this aggresive rhetoric sounds like more of Dubya’s rootin’ tootin’ gut-talk.
