Attention Mark Cuban: Please put aside your hopes for buying the Cubs, assemble a group of like-minded rich people, and build an MLB expansion team in Brooklyn. It will be a return to the birthplace of American Baseball. You can build the stadium in Red Hook. Have Lady Liberty and the downtown skyline in the outfield. Perhaps an MTA stop to connect Red Hook to the rest of the city. New York is definitely a market that needs another baseball team. We used to have three, but then stupid old California went and poached the Giants and the Dodgers.
This city lives and breathes baseball. With an NBA team arriving soon, it will only be a matter of time before someone with power and influence realizes that a pro-baseball team in Brooklyn is a surefire winner of an idea. If any artists out there agree, come up with some concept art and send it to me!
